MAN SLIPS NOTE ON COUNTER, GETS AWAY WITH CASH

The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the Washington Mutual Bank located at 4313 Montrose Boulevard in Houston, Texas on 09/29/2008.

At approximately 3:45p.m., the man walked into the bank and waited in the teller line. When it was his turn, he approached the teller and placed a note which demanded money on the counter. At the same time, he gestured as though he was concealing a pistol. Fearing for her life, the teller gave the man some money. The bank’s surveillance equipment captured the suspect’s photograph. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 3--40 years old, 6’01”-6’02” tall, 185-195 pounds with a thin to medium build and tan complexion. He had short, reddish brown hair. During the robbery, he wore a short sleeve brown tee-shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and a red baseball cap with sunglasses propped on top of his cap.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this bank robber. If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
