FBI RELEASES VIDEO OF ARMED MANVEL BANK ROBBERYThe FBI and Manvel Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the masked man who took one teller hostage while robbing another at a Manvel bank. The masked man acted as a landscaper and worked in the shrubs before entering the First National Bank of Alvin located at 20102 Highway 6 in Manvel, Texas on April 22, 2008. At approximately 9:45 a.m., the masked robber walked inside with his gun drawn and grabbed the right arm of one teller. He forced her at gunpoint to walk with him up to the teller counter where he committed the robbery which was captured on video tape. The FBI and Manvel Police Department are releasing video of the robbery in the hopes that someone will recognize the masked man or his disguise. The video shows the
armed robber dressed in a tan zippered jumpsuit. He wore a dark colored
dew rag on his head and a light colored scarf covering the bottom half
of his face. He also wore black rimmed glasses and gloves, and carried
a black semi-automatic pistol. He is described as a black male, 6' - 6'2"
tall, approximately 170-180 pounds with a slender build. Witnesses believe
he left the area in a 4 door GM product pickup truck, possibly a Colorado
or mid-size truck, dark blue in color.
