“GRINNING GIRL” BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT SOUGHT BY FBI

On August 2, 2007, at approximately 4:20 P.M., a black female entered the Wachovia Bank at 4410 North Freeway, Houston, Texas. “Grinning Girl” stood in line until called to a teller window. When the teller asked if she could help her, “Grinning Girl” unzipped a blue bank bag and removed a note, which was slipped to the teller. The note demanded money and indicated that “Grinning Girl” had a gun. The teller handed the cash to “Grinning Girl”, who then placed the money in the bank bag and walked off. No words were ever spoken to the teller. According to witnesses, the suspect just stood quietly and grinned throughout the robbery. No one was physically hurt.

“Grinning Girl” is described as black female, early 20’s, 5’08” tall, 130 lbs., slim build, dark complexion, braided hair sticking out of a white baseball cap, blue tee shirt and khaki pants.

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force consists of agents from the FBI, officers from the Houston Police Department, and deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s office.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of “Grinning Girl.” If you have any information regarding this case, please contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 713-222-8477 or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
