"DOLLAR BILL" COMMITS TWO AREA BANK ROBBERIES

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a bank robbery suspect.

On 8/20/2007, the robber entered the International Bank of Commerce at 7747 Kirby in Houston and placed two twenties and one five dollar bill on the counter. He asked the teller to give him 45 one dollar bills, thus earning him his nickname. "Dollar Bill" explained to the teller that he owned a car wash and needed the change. He then handed the teller a note demanding all of the cash. The teller was instructed not to move and not to make a sound.

On 8/23/2007, "Dollar Bill" entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 11041 Westheimer in Houston, handed the teller a fifty dollar bill, and asked for fifty one dollar bills. Again, he produced a note demanding all of the cash. No one was physically hurt in either robbery.

"Dollar Bill" is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, 5'07" to 5'09" tall, 160-180 pounds, medium complexion with a mustache and goatee.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of "Dollar Bill." If you have any information regarding this case, please contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 713-222-8477 or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
